logos and name of the company should be placed at the top left, as due to browser issues, the user may not be able to see the logo and company in if they are placed at the top right hand corner. it is weird for the logo, name of the company and the utilities links to have a empty space on the right side.
Unique Baby and Toddler Clothes

Home page
The homepage informs the user that this website is an online shopping website, where they sell baby colthings. the home page also informs the user that the summer season is around the corner and that they also have the lastest summer fasion wear for their babies.
the content of the homepage is presented in a happy and cheerful tone, just like how parents or users will want their children to be. this tone and feel is suitable for a baby's fashion page as babies are known to be cheerful and happy and not in a bad-tempered or sad kind of mood.
Navigation
The global navigation (first level navigations) are kept consistent from page to page, without any change in colors or size. for the utilities buttons, they are highlighted to another color when viewing the page. however, ont thing i dont liek about the utilities button is that they are quite small and is hidden to the right, this may lead to some users missing out these buttons and getting lost in the process due to browser issues. but for the navigations on the right, they are not highlighted when the user is viewing. even thought the link changes color after it's viewed.
for the site, there's not much local navigations (sub sections). they only have different pages at most. the links to the pages are kept consistent, however, this page link is only available at the top of the section, but not at the bottom end of the page, and this may cause some inconvience for the user of always having to scroll up to change pages.
theres also no home button. returning to home will be done by clinking on the logo, this is a knowledge to some, but not all. some users may then encounter problems navigation to and fro, causing them to be lost.
the site's organization is considered average. the grouping of the baby's clothing is very clear and neat, with different categories for the user to choose, e.g. (type of clothes) Cardigans & Tops, Dresses, ... , (clothes by age) 0-12 months, 12-24 months and (clothes by gender) boys or girls, boys and lastly girls.
however, due to the links not being highlighted when the user is viewing, this caused confusion.
some of the navigations are quite confusing. e.g. some of the pictures looks click-able but they are not. and words suck as No Quibbles Guaranted are actually a link, is the user did not roll over the mouse over these links, they wont be able to know if they are links or not. these links are hidden among banners and pictures.
no search engines are provided for this site.
the font used are generally easy to read. the presence of paragraph breaks made reading easier. the loading of pages are considered fast, compared to other sites.
Content and consistency
the content matches the site's mission and purpose. the layout and feel thoughout the site is kept consistent, recognizable, reducing the chances of confusing the user. the visual layout is kept consistent with the help of navigation buttons, text and pictures.
What are the strengths of the site?
The site loads fast, is considered clear for a user used to the internet and online shopping system, but is not very friendly for some due to some issues. some strengths are that the page gives a cheerful feel. the grouping of the baby's clothing are clear and aeasy to understand and navigation.
What are the areas for improvements?
home button, slightly bigger utilities buttons. clearer links, by adding a 'Click here' to indicate that the picture or word is a link. links to change to the next page should also be included for easy navigation.

Home page
The homepage looks very neat, clean and mature, unlike the previous site for baby's clothing. navigations are kept to the top and bottom, search engine is included at the top.
the content of the homepage is presented in a serious but relax kind of mood. but the flash video playing gives a relax feeling. the flash video caught my attention first as it is very colorful and bright, very outstanding from the rest of the page.
Navigation
The global navigation (first level navigations) are kept consistent from page to page, without any change in colors or size. for the utilities buttons, such as the shopping bag and my account is kept at the top right under the search engine, allowing the user to find it easily. informative links are place at the bottom of the page, as they are not as important but they have to be there when needed.
users will not be lost that easily as the links to each page are highlighted when the user is viewing the page. layout of the second navigation and groupings are kept simple and neat. the pages are first grouped into mens, womens first. aafter clicking on one of the category, the user will be brough to the main page of the category. for viewing fo the clothes for sale, the user will have to click again on the different clothe grouping. this may confuse some users as they are required to click more then 3 times.
theres also no home button. returning to home will be done by clinking on the logo, this is a knowledge to some, but not all. some users may then encounter problems navigating to and fro, causing them to be lost.
the font used are generally easy to read. the presence of imgaes made reading easier. the loading of pages are considered fast, compared to other sites.
Content and consistency
the content matches the site's mission and purpose. the layout and feel thoughout the site is kept consistent, except for the Lifestyle page, but the page is still recognizable, reducing the chances of confusing the user. the visual layout is kept consistent with the help of navigation buttons, text and pictures.
What are the strengths of the site?
The site loads fast, is considered clear for a user used to the internet and online shopping system, the grouping of men and women's clothing are straight forward. the site gives a serious, professional look, but also at the same time, relax and trendy feel. the lifestyle page is different due to the different navigation system, but is considered interactive compared to the normal clicking and the page load feel. the dressing room section is very interesting as not many online shopping site provides this feature of the user choosing the clothes and take a look at how the different combination of clothes looks like before buying. as many online shoppers have encounter situation where by they do not like the clothes looks after they have bought it.
What are the areas for improvements?
the site may be considered boring for the more fun-loving and cheerful users. but this black and white page is to give the site a professional feel. home button can be included.
